Open house in Fairfield
TenCate Advanced Composites USA held open house at its site in Fairfield (California, US) on Wednesday, 7 March. The guests were representatives of local government, suppliers and major customers, such as Space Systems / Loral and Lockheed Martin.
President Scott Unger adresses the guests
TenCate Advanced Composites USA has recently acquired a second, brand new facility in Fairfield for the production of thermoset and thermoplastic customized prepregs. The company’s 100 employees had previously been working at three different locations. This relocation and consolidation has resulted in a marked improvement in efficiency in logistics, cooling capacities and production.
The guided tour of the company
President Scott Unger and vice president Joe Morris thanked everyone who had contributed to the new layout and relocation. This was a large-scale, complex operation, which was completed smoothly, with no production or delivery problems. Dave Clarke, global group director, accompanied the customers during the tour of the company. This led the guests through the prepreg activities and pressing department of the TenCate CCS Composites business unit. The following Saturday members of the employees’ families made the same tour.
