TenCate Tecasafe® Plus - a world-class product

Since its introduction in the US three years ago TenCate Tecasafe® Plus has developed into the most cost-effective and innovative inherently flame-resistant solution for the market for industrial safety.

TenCate Protective Fabrics USA has expanded its production capacity and is now strengthening its strategic efforts in order to market the TenCate Tecasafe® Plus product portfolio worldwide.

TenCate Protective Fabrics is the market leader in inherently flame-resistant (FR) fabrics for protective clothing. TenCate Tecasafe® Plus is regarded in the US as the most innovative flame-resistant solution in the market for industrial safety.  TenCate Tecasafe® Plus offers wearers increased wear life, greater comfort and enhanced flame protection at a lower cost than industrial flame-resistant fabrics from other suppliers. It provides clothing manufacturers, industrial laundries and end-users with an excellent value proposition.

It is the combination of properties, comfort and lifespan together with the targeted approach to the end-user that Elliad Granger (Director of Marketing, TenCate Protective Fabrics USA) believes explains the success of TenCate Tecasafe® Plus. ‘It is the right product for the market.’ The market demands a long lifespan and inherently flame-resistant protection at an acceptable price. TenCate Tecasafe® Plus complies with multiple-performance categories and protection standards. This makes it attractive and there is no alternative.'

Clothing before and after a flash-over

TenCate has recently started up production of knit fabrics of TenCate Tecasafe® Plus. The company intends to use the knit fabrics to penetrate the fire service market, particularly for use in stationwear, and to expand sales in the industrial safety market. Knitted fabrics are generally more comfortable to wear than woven fabrics. 'Knits bring us one step closer to a complete solution for the industrial safety market.’
