TenCate Advanced Armour participates in DSEi

In the middle of September TenCate Advanced Armour participated in Defence & Security Equipment International (DSEi), the four-day international trade fair for defence and security equipment in London.

TenCate presented its lightweight protection solutions and an advanced technology for the three-dimensional composite structural armour. Interest was considerable.

‘We had visits from almost all of the end-users we wished to talk to,’ says Steen Tanderup, managing director TenCate Advanced Armour EMEA. ‘Response to TenCate presentations was highly positive, as it is clear that with our capabilities we cover a whole range of requirements.’

In London TenCate introduced an advanced technology for moulding three-dimensional composite structural armour solutions which will enable hinged steel components of armoured vehicles to be replaced by lighter, stronger, all-composite solutions.

TenCate also demonstrated protection solutions against a variety of threats, such as rocket-propelled grenades (RPG) and roadside bombs, lightweight solutions for personnel protection, flexible ballistic protection systems for vehicles, modular and durable armour solutions for naval vessels, as well as lightweight ballistic protection solutions for aircraft.
