Composites for crop spraying

The Dutch company Wingssprayer has developed a prototype for a crop spraying machine, using TenCate Cetex®. This composite material is eminently suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.

In comparison with the traditional way of spraying, the new method means not only a reduction of up to 50% in the chemical substances required, but also the sparing of air, surface water and groundwater. So environmental gains on two fronts.

Using TenCate Cetex®, the company Wingssprayer has developed an aerodynamic spraying system. The thin composite material is flexible and extremely strong, and therefore does not break. Together with a special wing construction and other technical adjustments, this ensures the right aerodynamic working.
