Glastonbury: festival of sound and colour
The Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts was held from 25 to 29 June 2014. With the erection of 2,000 tents, fabric manufacturer and supplier TenCate Outdoor Fabrics and tent manufacturer BCT Outdoors again added extra colour to one of the greatest open-air musical festivals in the world.
In 2013 TenCate supplied outdoor fabric for a thousand tents. Last year BCT Outdoors was asked to make as many again. The Bradford (Yorkshire) tent manufacturer also made a further 500 two-person tents in the colours blue, red and orange, and designed a four-person model, which was produced in purple, light green and light blue.
According to Pat Hammond of BCT Outdoors, the WM-27 fabric from TenCate Outdoor Fabrics was ‘fantastic material to work with’. So once again the festival site not only pulsated with sound but was also a colourful sight to behold.
