Synthetic turf system at Heracles Almelo once again rated excellent
During the annual inspection of Heracles Almelo’s synthetic turf system at the Polman Stadium in Almelo (the Netherlands) a statement issued on behalf of FIFA recorded that, after two years of intensive use and professional maintenance, the system is still in excellent condition. The independent testing institute, Sports Labs Ltd of Scotland, which conducted the inspection for FIFA, is this year again impressed by the condition of the pitch and its underlying construction. It was also evident that the synthetic turf fibres are exceptionally well able to resist wear. The pitch was once again awarded a FIFA 2 Star endorsement, the highest certification in professional football. The design partners of this synthetic turf system are TenCate (fibres, backing and infill), Edel Grass (FIFA Preferred Producer of the top layer), Sekisui Alveo (sports layer) and Oranjewoud Realisatie (installation and maintenance).

TenCate and INTRON enter into cooperation agreement for the certification of builders
of synthetic turf systems
Synthetic turf producer TenCate Grass and process certifier INTRON have entered into a cooperation agreement in order to be able to issue performance warranties at FIFA 2-Star level on synthetic turf systems. For this purpose the builders of synthetic turf systems will be certified by INTRON on quality control. This cooperation agreement was concluded following the performance warranty that TenCate Grass launched at the end of 2009. Oranjewoud Realisatie is the first company that was certified by INTRON.
