TenCate Geosynthetics Americas has developed a third patent pending geosynthetic for road and railway reinforcement, called TenCate Mirafi® RS280i. This woven product completes the RSi series of geosynthetics for base reinforcement and subgrade stabilization.

In response to the increasing awareness of the positive environmental aspects of geosynthetics and geosystems, TenCate Geosynthetics – business unit Water & Environment – has developed the TenCate Geotube® carbon footprint calculator for use with dewatering and breakwater applications. This CO2 footprint calculator provides water management customers with background information on several sustainability aspects.

TenCate Advanced Composites North America announces that Northern Composites, Hampton (New Hampshire), USA, will serve as an eastern U.S. representative for TenCate regarding tooling prepregs and materials. As reported last year, TenCate and 3M have joined forces to market and support 3M’s line of tooling prepregs featuring 3M’s patented matrix resin technology. This 3M innovation utilizes nanosilicas to create a more durable, robust and dimensionally accurate tool for the fabrication of composite parts.
