    Increasing number of Jupiler League clubs next season on synthetic turf

    Coming season seven of the twenty clubs in the Dutch first division will have a stadium with synthetic turf fields using fibers of TenCate. The installation of an increasing number of synthetic turf systems is another important step in the renewal of the Jupiler League. The cooperation of the Coöperatie Eerste Divisie and Royal Ten Cate was ratified on Tuesday July 2 in Zeist.

    Royal Ten Cate puts first digital inkjet machine into operation

    On Monday 1 July textile technology company Royal Ten Cate introduced the first production machine for digital finishing on the basis of inkjet technology. Theo Rietkerk, member of the Provincial Executive of Overijssel for Economy, Energy and Innovation, activated the machine at the company site of TenCate Protective & Outdoor Fabrics in Nijverdal, the Netherlands. Operation of this new machine marks the official transition from analogue to digital finishing of technical textiles.

    TenCate awarded tender synthetic turf systems for Dutch Jupiler League

    TenCate Grass has been awarded the tender by the Dutch Coöperatie Eerste Divisie for installing high-grade synthetic turf fields for professional football in the Jupiler League in the Netherlands. The installation of the first fields will already begin this summer and is provided by GreenFields, a subsidiary of TenCate. In this way the Jupiler League is building on the successful introduction by TenCate of the latest generation of synthetic turf systems in the Premier Division in the summer of 2012. It has been demonstrated that technically accomplished and attractive football at top level can be played on the TenCate fields.

    TenCate and TAPAS partners towards next phase of collaboration with Airbus

    Today at the Paris Air Show in France the Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs, Henk Kamp, is signing a letter of intent (LOI) for the proposed extension of the Thermoplastic Affordable Primary Aircraft Structure consortium (TAPAS), in which eight Dutch companies and institutes from the aviation industry have been working with Airbus on groundbreaking technological innovations for aviation since 2009. An innovative fuselage panel for Airbus, which is made of thermoplastic composite from TenCate Advanced Composites and produced by Airbus, Fokker Aerostructures and other TAPAS partners, is also being unveiled at the Paris Air Show.

    On the Paris Air Show in France, TenCate Advanced Composites and Fokker Aerostructures today sign a long-term agreement to provide thermoplastic composite materials of TenCate for the construction of several aircraft components by Fokker Aerostructures for the international aerospace industry.
