    TenCate Advanced Composites launches App for composite products selection

    TenCate Advanced Composites has launched its first iPad App at the 2012 JEC Composites exhibition in Paris, France. This App focuses specifically on the aerospace and industrial advanced composite product line of TenCate. The new iPad App is available for download to all users through the Apple iTunes Store (search term: ‘TenCate’). The App will also be available shortly on the iPhone and the Android operating system as well.

    TenCate acquires Performance Materials Corporation Baycomp

    TenCate has reached an agreement for the strategic acquisition of Performance Materials Corporation Baycomp from Camarillo (California), USA, the American and Canadian specialist company in composite materials moulding and thermoplastic uni-directional tape materials. No financial details will be provided at this stage. TenCate expects the purchase of Performance Materials Corporation Baycomp to be completed on or before April 2nd, 2012.

    TenCate Geosynthetics project partner in Yellow River dike monitoring

    TenCate Geosynthetics and AGT International have signed a letter of intent for collaboration on the installation of TenCate GeoDetect® technology in a dike body at the Yellow River in Dayulan (Zhengzhou) in the Henan province in China. TenCate GeoDetect® is a monitoring system based on geotextiles with interwoven fibre optics, which registers changes in embankments and dikes. The system will be used in the AGT Flood Early Warning System.

    TenCate Geosynthetics and Witteveen+Bos collaborate on Smart Tailings

    A consortium of innovative Dutch companies, led by Witteveen+Bos and TenCate Geosynthetics, has developed through constructive collaboration the Smart Tailings concept, which aims at managing remnants of pulverized rocks from metal, oil or coal extraction. This waste concerns one of the largest environmental problems in the world. The Smart Tailings concept answers the challenges of large scale rehabilitation assignments with an effective integral remediation design based on enhanced site survey and monitoring techniques.
