The hockey matches during the East Asia Games from 5 – 13 December 2009 in Hong Kong will be played at Kings Park Hockey Ground, where the hockey pitch is based on TenCate Tapeslide™ LSR® turf fibre.

TenCate Geosynthetics Asia has secured an order at Huntsman Tioxide in Teluk Kalong (Malaysia) for the supply of 105 TenCate Geotube® systems. These systems will be used in Malaysia as an environmentally-friendly solution for the dewatering and storage of calcium sulfate. The TenCate Geotube® containers will be produced by Ten Cate Industrial Zhuhai (China) and supplied through Ashland, a company that is involved in among other things the field of waste water treatment. Deliveries started in October and will continue for nine months.

From 2009 until 2011 TenCate Advanced Armour will deliver a total of approximately 22,500 systems that each consists of several ballistic inserts designed to protect against specific customised threats. The order from Sagem (Safran Group) emphasizes the position of TenCate Advanced Armour as a leading supplier of customised lightweight protection solutions for service men and women and their equipment. At Milipol 2009 in Paris from 17-20 November, TenCate Advanced Armour will exhibit the TenCate Multi-light™ inserts.

The hundredth Cruyff Court in the Netherlands will be officially opened in Venlo today, Tuesday, 6 October. This multisports pitch based on synthetic turf from TenCate is dedicated to Jeu Sprengers, the former chairman of the KNVB (the Royal Dutch Football Association) and a former UEFA committee member, as well as the former chairman of VVV Venlo. He was one of the driving forces behind the KNVB’s initiative to support the Cruyff Courts.
