Emergency Response team TenCate Grass Dayton safes a life

The mission of TenCate is to protect people. The company develops and produces materials for personal safety and the protection of the working and living environment. TenCate also seeks to provide all its employees worldwide with a safe workplace. Each company has an emergency response team to administer first aid, as does TenCate Grass in Dayton (Tennessee, USA), where the team recently saved the life of a colleague.
Worldwide, TenCate aims, within national legislation, to achieve optimal safety for its employees and visitors. Its policy is focused on structuring and implementing all its operations and processes in such a way that any form of personal injury or harm to people’s health can be prevented. This aim underpins the TenCate safety and health policy, which has been implemented at all its companies.
Each TenCate location throughout the world has its own emergency response team, in line with the TenCate policy relating to health and safety at the workplace. In the Netherlands this is the company emergency services. The company safety wardens do more than just provide first aid: they also take action in the event of fire and evacuation, for which they are trained. They are given regular refresher courses and exercises, with or without the deployment of the fire brigade. Dutch companies each have a KAM manager, who is responsible for quality, health and safety, and the environment. In the US each TenCate company has a safety programme and a health & safety manager, a position that is often combined with human resources management (HRM).
A safe workplace team dayton 1

Observing the teamwork of temporary and full-time associates pulling together during this incident is a direct reflection of our teamwork and commitment to safety in Dayton.
