TenCate as standard

Through end-user marketing the market groups seek to work with their customers, to help them customize specifications so that these accurately represent their requirements. This also ensures optimization of innovative products for specific applications.

In the long run, what is important here is that the end-user knows that materials and solutions from TenCate can be tailored to his constantly changing needs and requirements and that the specifications of a TenCate product or system are the standard in a particular market segment. This applies to a number of products from TenCate Protective Fabrics and TenCate Grass.

TenCate Defender™ M, developed by TenCate Protective Fabrics in the United States, is now regarded as the standard fabric for flame-resistant protection for the uniforms of the US Army and US Marine Corps. TenCate Tecasafe® Plus is meanwhile rapidly gaining ground in the market for industrial flame-resistant fabrics. It provides comfortable protection against such hazards as flames, electrical sparks and static electricity

TenCate XP Blade™ is perfectly suited to durable sports pitches that are subjected to intensive play, like Cruyff Courts. The use of this synthetic turf fibre for such intensively used pitches has given a huge boost to demand.  Pitches like this can be played on for well over 3,000 hours a year. TenCate Grass in Dayton (Tennessee, USA) has recently expanded its production capacity for TenCate XP Blade™, with the addition of a new production line. This will enable the company to continue to meet the sharp increase in global demand for this high-grade, wear-resistant synthetic turf fibre. For this reason texturizing capacity in both Dayton and Nijverdal has also been considerably expanded. TenCate Tapeslide™ LSR® synthetic turf yarns are the ultimate for hockey pitches. This quality was also used for a number of hockey pitches during the Olympic Games in Beijing (2008), Athens (2004) and Sydney (2000).
