Top hockey fields in Maarssen
MHV Maarssen, the Maarssen Hockey Club, reached agreement with GreenFields on 11 June concerning the metamorphosis of its hockey complex on the Vecht.
The MHV complex, which until recently consisted of three sand-dressed synthetic turf fields, has been extended to four fields this summer. Two of the four fields are water fields with a GreenFields TX top layer. The same top layer was used last year during the 2014 World Championships in the Kyocera Stadium of ADO Den Haag, and its hockey qualities were acclaimed by the international players. The third new field boasts a high-grade sand-dressed synthetic turf top layer.

MHV chairman Jeroen Willem Klomps is proud of his club: ‘Four years of preparation, the tremendous efforts of many volunteers, CSC and GreenFields, and the support of our members are now paying dividends. MHV Maarssen has one of the best hockey complexes in the country and can now further pursue its growth ambitions in terms of both sporting achievements and increased membership.’ With more than 1,300 members, MHV Maarssen is among the twenty largest hockey clubs in the country. Thanks to increased capacity, it can now reduce to a large extent its waiting list of Maarssen young hopefuls.
According to Ben aan de Stegge, area sales manager of GreenFields, MHV Maarssen is a trend-setting club for GreenFields, with ‘three top fields, two of which are GreenFields® TX water fields. We’re banking on sporting success as well as considerable hockey enjoyment for all Maarssen hockey players and their supporters.’
