Carbon composites from TenCate Advanced Composites in Nijverdal (NL) are used in the wing ribs of the lightweight Kanja glider. This a project carried out by eight students at INHolland University of Applied Sciences. The wing of the glider spans 11 metres, with a surface area of 10.35 m².

Through sponsoring in kind, TenCate wants to familiarize students here too with the processing and possibilities of strong and lightweight composites. In the realm of gliding there is considerable demand for high-grade, ultralight aircraft.
