Industrial and municipal waste water lagoons are filling up with sludge and regularly need to be cleaned out in the most economical and secure way.
Over the past decade TenCate Geotube® sludge containment and dewatering technology has become the preferred solution for lagoon clean out. In some cases it may well be the only viable solution.

Also in comparison with conventional solid-liquid separation equipment the advantages have proven to be conclusive;

During containment of fine grain sludge, hazardous contaminated soils, or dredged waste material, TenCate Geotube® dewatering technology allows excess water to drain through small pores. The result is effective dewatering and efficient volume reduction of the contained material. The run-off water from the dewatering process can be reused or returned to native waterways. This process of containment and dewatering can happen repeatedly. After the final containment and dewatering cycle, the retained fine grained materials in the TenCate Geotube® structure continue to consolidate by desiccation, which allows residual water vapour to escape through the small pores. The captured solids in the TenCate Geotube® container can now be disposed of properly.
