Stabilisation and drainage: TenCate Geosynthetics
Geotextiles from TenCate Geosynthetics form an essential part of the base of the sports pitch of the TenCate Field in a box™. A synthetic turf pitch is after all not just a grass surface, but a system of layers and components that together determine its quality, sport-technical characteristics and service life.
TenCate Polyfelt™ TS30 is a non-woven that provides separation, protection and filtration. TenCate Nicolon™ C881 is a geomembrane under the GreenSource water storage that ensures that it is watertight.
These geotextiles provide the pitch system with stability and strength. TenCate Geosynthetics is also involved in the development of the cloth for the canopy.
TenCate Geosynthetics has acquired an excellent reputation across the world with its innovative and sustainable geosynthetic materials and products. These are principally used in foundations, reinforcements, separation structures and the like in civil engineering, land reclamation and railway construction.
All the materials that are used in its production processes and end-products are recyclable.
"Lighter structures, lower CO2 emissions"
"The advantage of working with geotextiles is that you can build lighter and often stronger structures more quickly. Moreover, there is a reduced need for the transport of materials, such as sand and stone, which produces both a financial and an environmental advantage, as a result of lower CO2 emissions."
