Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all
TenCate Field in a box™ contributes to the sustainable fight against poverty and the economic growth of local communities. Firstly, the community centre itself is a very important driving force behind employment: in terms of preparation (logistics, material supply), in construction (installation, construction) and in terms of usage (maintenance, management, organisation, coaching, etc.). Secondly, there is an expectation that the programmes organised together with NGOs will encourage people to take initiatives personally and to take action. The programmes are, after all, aimed at strengthening people so that they are able to develop. This development can generate a wealth of services and commercial activity, supported if necessary by the development of finance models and by tapping into financial resources. In cooperation with NGOs, information programmes can be offered to assist with the strengthening, emancipation and participation of minorities, women and/or disabled people and the fight against illiteracy.
In summary, this project:
- Provides a community centre built by local installers;
- Stimulates employment;
- Helps to transfer maintenance infrastructure knowledge;
- Helps to transfer financial management knowledge;
- Opens up options for small businesses in rental, services, etc.
- Creates new jobs as a result of new initiatives and activities.
