Biodigester sludge

Reduced transport cost

Transport of wet sludge from and to biodigesters is counter productive. In case the digester is fed with dry organic matter, drying the biomass at the source could be a solution. Conventional drying methods however represent a huge investment and still require additional space for sludge or dry matter storage.

Odour free waste storage

To work with TenCate Geotube® dewatering technique, all you need is a bit of space at the source of your biomass production where you can role out the tube. You insert your wet organic waste or waste water sludge in the tube. Dewatering starts straight away without any further intervention. The biomass can remain in the tube for months, free of odour, until you want to transport the relatively dry biomass.
You safe on storage costs, investment costs, labour costs and transport costs and avoid odour nuisance.
Of course the same arguments apply when dewatering low dry matter content digestate with the TenCate Geotube® system.
