TenCate’s lead military fabric is TenCate Defender™ M which provides the best combination of flame resistance, durability, comfort and value. TenCate Defender™ M was invented in 2006 in response to increased burn threats in theater. After extensive testing and evaluation, TenCate Defender™ M was selected for the Fire Resistant Army Combat Uniform (FR-ACU) and the Marine Corp’s Flame Resistant Organizational Gear (FROG) programs in 2007.
