This project, designed by Terratech Consulting Ltd. Of Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada, involved the construction of a pile supported geotextile reinforced soil (GRS) road embankment and open bottom stream crossing structure across a 5m deep peat deposit in the south central interior of British Columbia, Canada. This project was constructed in an expeditious manner with very limited impact on the environment. The structure itself has re-established fish passage between the Sheridan Lake and Staley Lake in British Columbia. Along with exceeding short-term performance goals, this project is also expected to provide long-term support for the proposed traffic.
