TenCate Cetex® Thermoplastic Composites

TenCate is a recognized industry leader among thermoplastic advanced composite material suppliers for its Cetex brand thermoplastic composites. TenCate's thermoplastic composites are extensively used for commercial aircraft in structural applications and aircraft interiors, as well as in a variety of industrial applications ranging from automotive to oil & gas.

TenCate's Cetex® fiber reinforced thermoplastic composites include a range of fiber and resin combinations to support a variety of high performance aerospace applications.  Primary resin systems offered include PEEK, PPS, PEKK, and PEI (Ultem) which we produce in prepreg, semipreg and laminate forms. PEEK, PEKK and PPS are particularly well suited for primary and secondary structural applications and offer excellent toughness and chemical resistance.  Applications for our materials include flight control surfaces, access doors and panels, wing leading edges, fuselage clips and brackets, flooring, seating and cargo containment systems. TenCate has recently published a TenCate Cetex Thermoplastics Process Guide with tips and guidelines for stamp forming TenCate Cetex thermoplastic unidirectional tape materials. Available in hard copy booklet form.

Industrial Thermoplastic Composites

TenCate’s Cetex® thermoplastic composites for industrial applications use engineering grade thermoplastics such as nylon, polyethylene, polypropylene, PET and polycarbonate/ABS. These materials are commonly supplied by TenCate in unitape form, typically in three-inch widths. Various resin systems are utilized to deliver the desired properties needed.
