AmberTool logoThe TenCate AmberTool family of prepregs cures at low temperatures to allow the production of high-quality composite tooling from low-cost master patterns. Users can easily fabricate complex tool shapes as a result of their excellent tack, drape and handling characteristics. These low-temperature cure tooling prepregs offer high Tg's, up to 190°C (374°F) after a free-standing post cure.

The latest product additions deliver extended out times combined with long storage lifes. TenCate AmberTool tooling prepregs are available in a range of reinforcements, although glass and carbon are most common. If required, we can also offer these in roll form or pre-cut kits, without any impact on product out life.

Selection of TenCate Tooling Prepregs

Users typically select a tooling prepreg based upon three key factors:
  • Maximum use temperature
  • Initial cure temperature desired (limited by tool master material)
  • Outtime
