TenCate Advanced Armour has opened its sales office in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. Mr Jacob Abelsen who has previously been the regional agent of TenCate Advanced Armour has been appointed director of this new entity in Singapore.

TenCate Advanced Armour delivers protective armour for Danish frigates

TenCate Advanced Armour has completed the delivery of ballistic protection systems for the second of three Danish Iver Huitfeldt frigates. Due to the modular approach by TenCate to the production of armour solutions, this was achieved before schedule and below budget. There was close collaboration with the Danish Defence Acquisition & Logistic Organisation.

TenCate Advanced Armour and ABDS A/S in Denmark in collaboration with the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO), have successfully completed a fullscale, underbelly improvised explosive device test on a 15ton flat-belly Armoured Personnel Carrier with fully integrated ABDS™ active blast countermeasure system.

TenCate acquires right of first refusal on majority shares in Active Blast Defence System

TenCate Advanced Armour Denmark has signed a cooperation agreement relating to the development of the Active Blast Defence System (ABDS™) patent and the right of first refusal to acquire the majority of ABDS Aps.

Troops in theatre need the best and most advanced armour protection for the job in hand. ABDS Aps. holds the patent for an innovative defence solution, called Active Blast Defence System, which can offer life-saving protection against a number of improvised explosive devices (IED’s) currently seen in action, particularly in the Afghanistan operation.
